A project of Leadership Collierville

Leadership Collierville, Class of 2007, is in the process of preparing emergency disaster kits for citizens who are interested in purchasing one.  For more information, please click on the Emergency Kit link for more information.

Imagine that you have no electricity, no gas, no water and no telephone service. Imagine that all the businesses are closed and you are without any kind of emergency services. What will you do until help arrives?

In a major disaster, it could be 72 hours or more before vital services are restored and help arrives.

Collierville is exposed to a wide variety of hazards, both natural and man-made. Earthquakes, fires, ice storms, tornados, severe storms, power outages, and acts of terrorism are just some of the potential emergencies we may encounter. As a community we must prepare ourselves to take care of our families in the event of such disasters.

This site was developed by members of the Leadership Collierville Class of 2006 in cooperation with the Town of Collierville to be used as an educational tool to aid our citizens in the event of  an emergency.

Click on the buttons to the left to find out how you can prepare yourself and your family for an emergency. You can also learn what to do in response to a specific disaster, like an earthquake,  just in case.
