Criminal Investigations Division
Captain Chris Locke, Division Commander

Members of the Criminal Investigation Division are available 24 hours per day and are responsible for all criminal investigations, narcotics enforcement, crime scene searches, domestic violence crimes and applicant background investigations. Detectives also perform internal investigations for the Police Department as well as other departments of the Town government.

In an attempt to remove or reduce drug trafficking the officers of the Criminal Investigation Division who are trained in drug enforcement, work closely with the officers of the Patrol Division's K-9 Unit to detect and apprehend individuals in possession of illegal drugs.

The Domestic Violence Investigator is also a part of the Criminal Investigations Division. The Domestic Violence Investigator investigates domestic violence crimes and assists victims through the court process and locates help for those in need.

In addition, the Criminal Investigations Division coordinates the Victim/Witness Services and the Internal Affairs Unit.
