Administration is responsible for
preparing, monitoring and forecasting the annual operating budget as well as developing
long range capital improvement plans. This section also manages the department's fiscal
affairs, processes purchase requests, maintain supplies and insures the delivery of all
police services.

Under the direction of Chief L. E. Goodwin the Administrative Division of the Collierville Police Department is responsible for the overall operation of the department. Assistant Chief Hamric oversees the field operations of the department, which covers the Uniform Patrol Division and the Criminal Investigation Division. Assistant Chief Hood oversees the budget for the department as well as the inside operations, which covers the Staff Services Division and the Special Operations Division. Bill Bradham is responsible for the maintenance of the Accreditation files and the revision of General orders and Policies and Procedures.
The Records department is responsible for maintaining all records, reports and data entry for the department.

In
1995 the Collierville Police Department attained National Law Enforcement
Accreditation. This is the level of professionalism obtained by meeting
exceptionally high standards set on a national level. Accreditation has allowed
the Collierville Police Department to be one of only a few Police departments
across the country to attain this honor. In 1999 and 2002, the department achieved
re-accreditation.
The Collierville Police Department is unique, in that Chief Larry Goodwin and seven of their officers are graduates of the F.B.I. National Academy, considered the "West Point of Police Science".
