The Collierville Police Department is excited to announce that we are improving our communication capabilities to our citizens.

As you know, we have been using Nixle to send community alerts. In the past, Nixle has been a free service. Unfortunately, Nixle has recently decided to charge an unreasonable fee to continue the service.

As an alternative, we’ve decided to partner with tip411.

Tip411 gives us upgraded functionality in terms of how we target our community alerts. It also enables us to save time by having information automatically made available on our social media sites, Facebook, Twitter and our department’s website. And finally, the addition of inbound anonymous tips helps citizens take part in helping to reduce crime.
