The Collierville Police Department is investigating a Robbery at Gurkins, 390 East Poplar Avenue

 On March 19, 2007 at approximately 3:43am Police were dispatched to Gurkins #1 on a robbery.  The clerk advised that just a few minutes before Police arrived, a white male, wearing a camouflage jacket and a black motorcycle helmet entered the store and to the clerk to “give me the money in the register or I’ll kill you.”  The suspect is described as about 5’10”, 180 pounds, with brown eyes.  The suspect had on leather motorcycle gloves and ran out of the store.  The suspect rode off on a bright green Capri style motorcycle, headed eastbound on Poplar Avenue (Hwy. 57) at a high rate of speed.  Anyone with information about this case should contact the Collierville Police Department or Crime Stoppers at 457-CASH.

Collierville Police are investigating three break-ins at The Madisons Apartment Complex

 The Criminal Investigations Division is currently investigating three recent Burglaries at The Madisons Apartment Complex.  The break-ins are all similar in the fact that the suspect(s) kicked in the front door of the apartments to gain entry.  No one has been at home when these crimes took place, as the suspect(s) are stealing property from inside these individual apartments.  It is believed that these crimes took place during the daytime.  Two incidents were reported on April 30, 2007 and the other on May 3, 2007.  There are currently no suspect(s) descriptions.  Anyone with information about this case should contact the Collierville Police Department or Crime Stoppers at 457-CASH.

The Collierville Police Department is investigating a Robbery at Dollar Tree, 708 West Poplar Avenue

 On March 30, 2007 at approximately 9:45pm Police were dispatched to the Dollar Tree on a robbery.  The suspect in this case is described as follows:  Black male, approximately 6’0” tall, black short sleeve shirt, black shorts, black “biker” gloves, and a black ski mask.  He was armed with a black semi-automatic pistol.  The suspect had approached employees at the Dollar Tree as they exited the store that evening.  Anyone with information about this case should contact the Collierville Police Department or Crime Stoppers at 457-CASH.

The Collierville Police Department is investigating a Robbery at the Burger King restaurant 1250 Poplar Avenue

 On October 15th, 2006 at approximately 12:54am Police were dispatched to the Burger King Restaurant on a robbery. Upon arrival, officers were told by a female clerk that a male subject had just entered the restaurant, produced a rifle and demanded money from her. She said after handing over the money from a register he fired several shots into the ceiling and left on foot in an unknown direction. An undetermined amount of money was taken from the business. The suspect is described as being a white male, wearing a black bandana on his face and dark sunglasses. He was also clothed in dark colored gloves and a dark sweatshirt with a hood. . The Collierville Police Department is investigating a Burglary from a Residence

 Taken from a residence in Collierville between April 27 and April 28, 2007 were several firearms, including shotguns and assorted hunting weapons.  There is no suspect information at this time and individuals with any information about this case are encouraged to contact the Collierville Police Department or Crime Stoppers 457-CASH.
